Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools

Home of the Wildcats!

The Chouteau-Mazie Public School District serves the Chouteau and Mazie, OK areas and is serving 870 students for the 2020-21 school year. 

 

The high school provides a variety of academic programs, elective programs, athletics, clubs, and organizations to allow all students an opportunity to grow and thrive regardless of their interests or skill sets.

Academics

With COVID-19, Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools has adapted and now provides distance learning options and can provide internet hotspots to those that qualify.  

The student:teacher ratio of 12:1 is less than the Oklahoma public school average of 17:1.

High School serves 215 students in grades 9-12.

Middle School serves 184 students in grades 6-8.

Elementary

  • Chouteau Elementary School serves 227 students in grades 2-5.

  • Mazie Elementary School serves 68 students in grades Prekindergarten-8.

Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Chouteau-Mazie High School is 23%. 

Minority enrollment is 47% of the student body (majority American Indian), which is less than the Oklahoma public school average of 51% (majority Hispanic & American Indian).

Activities & Organizations

In Athletics, Chouteau offers football, basketball, track, powerlifting, volleyball, fastpitch softball, baseball, and cheerleading.

In Clubs and Organizations, we offer FFA, Art, Band, Yearbook, and STEM.  The School also has Student Council and National Honor Society for those that are interested or qualify.
