The price of gas on your utility bill will be higher than normal. Due to the nearly two weeks of subzero temperatures we faced in January, people used a higher than average amount of gas supplied to the Town. Therefore, after the allotted amount is used for the month from our gas supplier, they in turn have to purchase more at a rate of what it sells for during that time and sell it to us. Gas price on this bill averaged out to $15.05 per 1,000 cubic feet.
